Sing Your Heart Out in 2026 Join Clitheroe Pop Choir and Find Your Voice!
Clitheroe Pop Choir, based in the heart of the Ribble Valley, is inviting everyone to start the new year on a high note with a FREE taster session this January.
If you’ve ever wanted to sing for fun, now’s your chance! Founded in 2010 by Susan Sykora, the choir has grown and evolved and is now under the expert guidance of local musicians Gaynor Sutcliffe and Peter Riley from the renowned band The Swing Commanders. Rehearsals take place every Thursday at The United Reformed Church, Clitheroe, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, with a relaxed pre-rehearsal brew and chat from 7:00 pm for those who fancy a mingle before the music begins. Clitheroe Pop Choir prides itself on being inclusive and welcoming to all ages and abilities. There’s no audition, no need to read music just learn by practice and enjoy the process. Expect a playlist packed with feel-good hits from ABBA to Billy Ocean, Erasure to Elton John. Choir Leader Gaynor Sutcliffe says: “We’re holding a free taster session on Thursday 8th January and would love people to come and experience the joy of singing together. There’s no pressure to sound like Mariah Carey, just come along and have fun! Singing in a choir is proven to boost mental health and wellbeing, especially during the dark winter months. I always leave rehearsal feeling brighter after a good sing!”
